About Maddie

Maddie Simmons began sewing as a 4-H member at the age of seven. She has spent the last four years working as a Costume Technician at Atlanta Ballet and has worked the past three summers at American Players Theatre in Spring Green, Wisconsin, the previous two summers she stitched at Santa Fe Opera, as an apprentice in 2021 and as a Stitcher in 2022. She received her B.F.A. in Theatre from Emporia State University in the Spring of 2020. In January 2020 she received first place in the National Allied Design and Technology category at KCACTF Region 5 for her draping work on Romeo and Juliet. In her free time, she over-analyses pop culture and hangs out with her cats.
